Have previously used OpenWrt with MR12 MR18 and it's been terrific. This MR33 is certainly a beast of an Access Point, and OpenWrt should make it awesome!

I find routerOS's abundance of documentation refreshing compared to OpenWRT where everything is community based with 4-5 revisions of every low-end cheapie router/AP needing a different firmware The same thing is happening with newer WRT3200ACMs. It turns out that Linksys has changed nand memory chips on newer models since Sept. of 2017. This may hold true for the wrt32x as well. So I guess ppl with newer wrt3200/32x may not be able to load dd-wrt. I read this on the DD-WRT Forums. To upgrade stock firmware to DD-WRT, use the Flashing procedure below. Only use trailed builds (with E4200 in the file name) to avoid bricking. AFTER initial flash, only use trailed OR nv60k builds - NOT nv64k nor generic builds.
