Nov 07, 2010 · I just set up BTGuard as a proxy in uTorrent and now Im unable to get any of my RSS feeds. If I turn it off they download fine. If this is a duplicate post I apologize, but I wasnt able to find any information on it. Is there a way to bypass the proxy just for the RSS and keep the proxy for P2P?

I checked it several times. What worked for me was that I unloaded EVERYTHING that had to do with uTorrent, ran CCleaner to get rid of anything in windows registry, and reloaded stable (not beta).

Maybe proxy went down or something (doesn't sound like they had a kill switch setup). 99% sure the actual letter they received is from a copyright troll & was simply forwarded over to the user in question. It brings up a good point re: using proxy instead of VPN, could be that using a proxy isn't 100% full-proof.
